Join us in building the best everyday bank

Our goal is to build the best bank in Estonia, and why not also the best in the world. This requires the use of new technologies in developing daily services on a fresh banking platform. If you believe you have what it takes and want to be part of this unique opportunity, come and let's create the future of everyday banking together!

Today, we are the Estonian bank with the widest international presence, 100% owned by Estonian stakeholders. We operate in nine markets. Now, we want to take the next step and start offering daily payment services to our clients because we believe we can provide better conditions than those currently available on the market.

As a Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions that deliver high‑quality, reliable data across the organization. You will also be responsible for enabling analytics, real‑time insights, and efficient decision‑making by applying best practices in Python, SQL, cloud technologies, DevOps, and modern data platform architecture.

How do you create value?

  • Building high quality production grade data workflows using Python and SQL based tools that automate complex processes, reduce manual work, and ensure trustworthy data delivery across teams
  • Designing efficient SQL-based data models and relational structures, that improve query performance, reduce processing costs, and support the analytics needs of the business
  • Developing well-orchestrated, reliable data pipelines using tools like Airflow, ensuring that critical datasets are delivered accurately and on time
  • Implementing ETL/ELT best practices and optimized warehouse architectures that keep the data platform scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business growth
  • Leveraging cloud platforms to improve system resilience, reduce infrastructure overhead, and unlock modern data services
  • Using cloud warehouse technologies to accelerate analytics and enable advanced reporting at scale
  • Integrating streaming technologies to support real-time data processing and immediate business insights
  • Applying DevOps, CI/CD, and Git practices to ensure reliable deployments, versioned transformations, and smooth collaboration across teams
  • Supporting BI, analytics, and large-scale data use cases, helping stakeholders access high-quality data for forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making

Our expectations for you

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming — including writing clean, modular, testable code and building production‑grade data processing workflows
  • Solid experience with SQL and relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL
  • Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow or similar platforms)
  • Knowledge of data modeling, warehouse design, and ETL/ELT best practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for deploying and managing data workloads
  • Background in cloud data warehouse platforms, such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Databricks
  • Experience with streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps workflows
  • Background in analytics, BI development, or working with large-scale datasets
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Estonian and English
