As a Compliance Officer
You will play a key role in ensuring Bigbank AS operates in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures. You will provide expert guidance to business units, manage compliance risks, and contribute to building a strong compliance culture across the organization.
How do you create value?
- You will provide in-house compliance support to Bigbank AS business areas by identifying and assessing risks, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures across areas such as daily banking, consumer credit, data protection, and marketing
- You will proactively manage compliance risk through legislation monitoring, conducting compliance reviews, and recommending improvements to procedures, products and services
- You will support the Bank’s Data Protection Officer with data protection matters
- You lead and oversee various groupwide regulatory projects within assigned areas
- You raise compliance awareness across the organisation by training employees and management on new regulations and compliance topics
Our expectations for you
- You have a master’s degree in Law
- You have at least 2 years of experience in compliance or legal roles within the financial sector, including supervisory authorities or law firms
- You have practical experience with data protection and privacy regulations
- You have good communication and presentation skills
- You have strong independent thinking and analytical abilities with a solution-oriented mindset
- You have proven experience in managing legal projects and strong ability to assert influence effectively
- You are skilled at prioritzing tasks, organising your work efficiently, and meeting deadlines while while managing multiple projects at a high-quality level
- You have high ethical standards and attention to detail
- You have a proficiency in Estonian and English at a very high level, both spoken and written
