As a Compliance Officer
You will play a key role in ensuring Bigbank AS operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will provide expert guidance to business units, manage compliance risks, and contribute to building a strong compliance culture across the organization.
How do you create value?
- You will provide in-house compliance support to Bigbank AS business areas by identifying and assessing risks, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures across areas such as daily banking and consumer credit
- You will proactively manage compliance risk through legislation monitoring, conducting compliance reviews, and recommending improvements to procedures, products and services within your areas of responsibility
- You raise compliance awareness within the bank by training employees, management teams, and board members on new regulations and compliance topics
- You oversee various regulatory projects within assigned areas
- You will plan and carry out compliance control activities
Our expectations for you
- You have a master’s degree in Law
- You have at least 3 years of experience in compliance or legal roles within the financial sector with focus on payment services or consumer credit
- You have experience with financial sector regulations on Estonian and EU level
- You have an ability to interpret complex legislation and translate it into practical guidance
- You have strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- You have excellent stakeholder management abilities
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have an ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects at a high-quality level
- You have high ethical standards and attention to detail
- You have a proficiency in Estonian and English at a very high level, both spoken and written
