Bigbank Leadership Development Program: Empowering Leaders for Over 5 Years

At Bigbank, we know that strong leadership is essential to building a successful, forward-thinking organisation. That’s why, for over five years, we’ve been running the Leadership Development Program (LDP) - a transformative experience designed to help our people grow into confident, capable leaders.

The LDP is a 6-month development journey for first and middle-level managers, along with selected top specialists. It’s built on the Bigbank Leadership Competency Model and is closely aligned with our HR strategy to retain and grow talent through excellent leadership.

Each year, the program is redesigned based on current development needs, making it a dynamic and responsive experience. In 2025, we introduced an updated format that’s even more comprehensive and inclusive. While originally designed for frontline managers, it now includes middle and top-level managers to encourage deeper insights and shared learning across leadership levels.

The LDP consists of five core modules, each focused on a key leadership competency:

  • Leadership – Understanding and embodying the role of a leader
  • Cooperation – Building strong, collaborative relationships
  • Self-Management – Enhancing personal effectiveness and resilience
  • Achievement Orientation – Driving results with purpose and passion
  • Business Mindset – Thinking strategically and acting with impact.

The program concludes with final presentations and a graduation ceremony, where participants showcase their growth and celebrate their achievements.

The program is enriched by external partners, guest speakers, and Bigbank Management Board members, who open the program and share their own leadership journeys. Participants also enjoy job shadowing, book recommendations, and interactive workshops that bring leadership theory to life.

One of the most valuable aspects of the LDP is the opportunity to build strong connections with colleagues from all the countries where Bigbank operates. These relationships foster collaboration, innovation, and a sense of shared purpose across our international teams.
