What you'll be doing
You will be building and managing IT security solutions for Bigbank, helping to secure and monitor our socio-technical systems against misuse and data breaches, which have direct financial and reputation impact on the Bank and its customers.
You will be engaging in penetration testing (Red Team) exercises, helping to find and fix vulnerabilities in our internal and public systems. Yes, you will be paid to hack a bank, legally.

Data entrusted to us must be treated securely. This is where you come in as a Security Engineer. Our systems need to be secure, monitored and accessible only to authorized users. You are going to build and protect them together with other Bigbank engineers.
How you'll spend your day
Engineering and Administrating Information Security Tools
Scanning and monitoring our software systems, infrastructure and internal network
Conducting penetration tests and audits against our internal systems
Researching, developing and implementing modern technical solutions and new security tools
Assisting in security hardening activities
Training engineers and employees
Proactively identifying, assessing, and designing remediation plans for risks and vulnerabilities in the infrastructure
Participating in security incident response efforts
Things you’re already doing:
You have experience as an a information security engineer or a security-conscious DevOps engineer.
You have experience with network security and networking technologies, logging systems and network monitoring tools.
You are familiar with programming/scripting language(s).
You have knowledge of secure coding practices, ethical hacking and threat modelling.
You have good knowledge of different operating systems (primarily UNIX/Linux).
You have a healthy interest in how systems work, break and how to make them better.
You are passionate about IT systems and like learning about new technologies.
You value automation and succinct documentation.

First we transformed from old school offices-based banking to purely digital banking. Next we dove into the digital journeys of our customers and figured out what they need for excellent experience. Now, we are building a new banking platform made up of microservices, renewing our entire technology stack.
